Win7 Geniun Problems after downloading XP-mode form MS Hey guys..
I resently started looking into the virtual world....
I download virtual pc from Microsoft.
Then I downloaded the XP-mode from their site. In order to do this you need to go through a validation process which I passed with grace...but in order to do so you need to download a little(-+150kb) program from their site to complete the validation process. ALL THIS IS DONE STRAIGHT FROM THE MICROSOFT SITE.
During the night I lost internet connection and my download stopped, so when I got to my pc that little program popped up and said that my copy of Windows7 is no longer geniun........(Windows7 is my main OS)
What's the reason for this and what are my options?
Thanks in advance.

YES the OS has beem validated and registered. The PC was build by a Private PC builder. I purchased Windows 7 Prof 32bit and he installed it ect.
BTW...I hate pirated OSs....it screws up everything
As far as I can see this is just another registration process you need to go through like you would after a fresh installation?
Is this true??? But my main question is why should I do this? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number -ME- OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU INTEL sandybridge i7 2600 @ 3,4ghz Motherboard Asus p8p67 REV 3.1 Memory Corsiar 1333mhz 4x2gig DDR3, total 8gig Graphics Card MSI GTX560 ti Twin Frozer II 1gb 256bit GDDR5 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung B2330 23" , LG 22" Flatron W2242S Screen Resolution 1920x1080p , 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder 4 Mouse Saitec CYBORG R.A.T.5 Lazer gaming mouse PSU Corsair TX750w Case Cooler Master 690 ii Advance Side Window Cooling CPU: CM Hyper 212 Plus with 2 Blue LED 120mm CM fans Hard Drives 250 gig WD : System,

I'm at work at the moment but as soon as I get home I'll do just that.
To give you some insight, the program which you are required to download for the validation process is the one which gives me the "NON GENIUN COPY" notice.
It aproves you for the download(The validation process is a success) but then this morning it gave me that very disturbing notice.
So I deleted it. Will see what happened while I was gone from home. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number -ME- OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU INTEL sandybridge i7 2600 @ 3,4ghz Motherboard Asus p8p67 REV 3.1 Memory Corsiar 1333mhz 4x2gig DDR3, total 8gig Graphics Card MSI GTX560 ti Twin Frozer II 1gb 256bit GDDR5 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung B2330 23" , LG 22" Flatron W2242S Screen Resolution 1920x1080p , 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder 4 Mouse Saitec CYBORG R.A.T.5 Lazer gaming mouse PSU Corsair TX750w Case Cooler Master 690 ii Advance Side Window Cooling CPU: CM Hyper 212 Plus with 2 Blue LED 120mm CM fans Hard Drives 250 gig WD : System,

Another thing that bugs me....I tried to install Windows 7 Ult 64bit on the VM as a guest OS, but I get a error that my CPU isn't 64bit compattable, but I know for a fact it is. What do you make of this? The Host OS is Windows 7 prof. 32bit. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number -ME- OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU INTEL sandybridge i7 2600 @ 3,4ghz Motherboard Asus p8p67 REV 3.1 Memory Corsiar 1333mhz 4x2gig DDR3, total 8gig Graphics Card MSI GTX560 ti Twin Frozer II 1gb 256bit GDDR5 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung B2330 23" , LG 22" Flatron W2242S Screen Resolution 1920x1080p , 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Microsoft Sidewinder 4 Mouse Saitec CYBORG R.A.T.5 Lazer gaming mouse PSU Corsair TX750w Case Cooler Master 690 ii Advance Side Window Cooling CPU: CM Hyper 212 Plus with 2 Blue LED 120mm CM fans Hard Drives 250 gig WD : System,
