Display issue after enabling VT in BIOS
Dear w7 guru's,
I hope you can help me clear up this issue. I have a HP/compaq 6730b laptop which includes the Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor P8600.
This is a supported processor for using the Virtual PC/XP Mode combination.
Yet, after I enable the VT in my Bios weird things happen in w7 after I boot, mainly on the display/response side.
When you boot w7 all shortcuts on desktop start with a 'blank' picture. After a second or so you get the real pictures from the applications. From some reason this keeps refreshing now on my laptop over and over again. same with 1 or 2 apps on my taskbar.
I keep getting a constant 'hourglass' in my screen when I use the windows Start button. When I want to go to 'control panel' for examples I have a real hard time doing because everytime I open up the startmenu it disappears after 0.5-1 seconds.
Last thing I noticed is that I have Microsoft Office Communicator installed. When I check the taskmanager this process keeps appearing/disappearing with sometimes a description and sometimes blank text where the description should be.
(maybe this is the root of the problem)
When I try to kill the process it says 'operation could not be completed. operation for this process is invalid'.
Anyone else had this weird behaviour?
Any hints on how to solve this?
