    XP Mode wont shut itself down after app closed


    little help please guys if youd be so kind, just installed XP mode as i now dont need Hardware virtualization (yay!) from my initial tests it seems that although the machine is set to "shutdown on close" it doesnt free the resources when I close an xp mode application launched straight from the Windows 7 desktop unless I open the VM again and then close that window, or hit CTRL-ALT-END while the XP mode app is still running and select shutdown from there

    anyone know a way around this?

    My XP Mode is set to hibernate on close, so I can't really comment on that... But I noticed that the VM will run for about 5 minutes after you close an XP application. Close your VM, open up the Task Manager and watch vpc.exe to see what it does after 5 min or so.

i just upgraded to windows 7 from vista and now it wont shut down it just says it shutting down and stays on that screen
