Loading Office 2007 onto Virtual machine in XP Mode

I have a legacy program that runs in XP and runs in XP Mode when I open a Windows Virtual PC window, and run the program in this window.

How ever when I am in the Windows Virtual PC window... It doesn't recognize that I have OFFICE 2007 loaded in Windows7.

So I THOUGHT this would be a simple solution - load OFFICE 7 in the WIndows XP -Windows Virtual PC.....

I THOUGHT this would be as simple as inserting the disc and Installing OFFICE 2207....

HOWEVER - it gets ~ 1/3 into the Install (after about 15minutes), then asks where the MSI files are located...

(ok I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer) - but I have literally spent hours "browsing for the MSI files to no available....
When I cancell the search for the MSI files.... Office cancels the Install....

I would really appreciate any help here...

No I can't run the application from Windows7 ( ie use start menu and startup the application from the Windows Virtual PC--> Windows XP Mode Applications.... the program is smart/dumb enough to recognize this as attempting to run remotely .... and merely shuts down)

    I NEVER give up....lol

This time I installed it differently.... for the first time ever, I used the Control Panel Install to load the program
I did a custom load - only loaded Excel and made all other choices install on first use

It had to "first time load" to allow me to use VBA, and even use the browse window to allow me to chose where the "trusted" directories were....
BUT AFTER A WEEK OF ZERO PRODUCTIVITY.... I can finally run my legacy program

I want to thank you all for your website.... While I didn't get a direct answer to what I was looking for (spent about 45hrs here over the last 7 days) - I sure learnt alot...

SOMEONE CAN PUT A LITTLE GREEN CHECK MARK ON THIS BABY.... THIS CASE IS CLOSED!
