XP Mode

I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. In XP Mode it's XP Pro with IE6 . Can you update that IE6 to IE7 or IE8? When you run windows update it doesn't list either as an update that's why I'm asking.

Yeah, you can. Might have to install other relevant updates first, before you see an update for IE7, and then IE8.

Might also be listed a hidden update. Install the updates you see, after you have go back, and check for more. There are quite a few of them, and some don't show up until you install others.

I've been using it for about a month and keeping it updated and I just ran it again and said it was up to date. I guess I can go to Microsoft web site and download it.

Strange. I'm not using XP mode at the moment, but everytime I've installed Virtual PC/XP mode, quite a few times, it would have IE8 as a hidden update, and I'd update everything else, IE7, etc, then install the hidden IE8. Not sure why it's not there for you.
