Does XP mode supports old hardware drivers too?

I have a old creative Live value sound card which only worked in XP the vista drivers were never released, so can I connect that card & install the XP drivers in XP mode & make the card usable under windows7 XP mode?

That Card does not have windows 7 drivers either.

If you ever do find a way to get this to work, let me know. A friend of mine inherited my old Live! card and I'd let to get it working for him.

Though, I think he said he got some drivers for it installed but sound was wonky. I'll need to ask him more about this later.
