Windows 7: Problem With Virtual PC and XP x64VM

Problem With Virtual PC and XP x64VM

I have an error when i try to start Win XP x64 VM.

Error message say that ia can run x64 VM but i the option on BIOS to run x64VM is enabled.

I dont have this problem with VMware.

Anyone have the solution?

This is not a problem, it is because it is not supported. Windows Virtual PC is based on Virtual PC 2007, which supports 64bit hosts, but not guests. Yes it does suck, but if you want proper server virtualisation from MS, Hyper-V does support 64-bit guests. Hopefully they will replace the virtualisation platform with something based on Hyper-V in future Windows releases....
