I'm confused. You want to resize partition...inside of XP Mode (the XP Mode VHD)? Or do you want to resize partition where 7 is installed? And btw you can mount a VHD inside of Windows 7 as a normal hard drive.

Partition Magic 8 will not run on 64 bit, but it will in XP Mode and I was wondering if anyone has tried to actually make changes to a hard drive. The only other choice is to spend $40 for a new program.

You can't change a physical hard drive from a virtual machine. Try using the GParted LiveCD.

Thanks Product Fred. I found Partition Wizard Home Edition that will work on 64 bit and allow me to resize and create partitions, but like Windows 7, you can only move to the right. I took a look at GParted LiveCD and it had a lot of issues with file systems. Is .0.5.2-9 a reliable version?
