Desktop shortcuts stop working after a virtual machine reboot

Hi All,

I have successfully loaded XP Mode (32) bit onto my Win 7 (64 bit) installation.

My XP mode is configured to "share" drives on my host, some are actual partitions on my Win 7 computer, and others are network shares.

Accessing these drives in not an issue, however whenever I make a shortcut (from a folder on one of the afore mentioned drives) and place it on my desktop it stops working after a reboot.

This is not very useful, obviously the point of making shortcuts is to make working in an OS more efficient. However whenever I double click a shortcut after rebooting (the virtual machine) nothing happens.

Is this behavious "normal", or am I experiencing a fault condition?

Thanks
