Windows 7: vmware networking problem with two NIC

i have windows 7 installed on my system with two NIC on it and i have installed windows 2003 on vmware ,
now my problem is that i want to access both NIC in windows 2003 one NIC is used for internet and other NIC is for local LAN ,in windows 2003 only one NIC is able to access. but i want to use both .
can any one help me or tell me from were i can get help beside vmware site b'se i don't find any thing there.

What version of VMWare are you using? I don't believe that VMWare Player can use more than 1 NIC...it binds to 1 and that is it. Their free hypervisor product (ESXi) can certainly do it...but that's a whole different product entirely.

Well, with VMWare Server 2.0 you can go into Host and configure the virtual networking setup for the 2 NIC's. This way your server can have 2 NIC's configured and these 2 networks can be assigned to any of the virtual machines.

The problem you will have is when you try to add the 2 NIC's to the same VM...Windows is going to complain if you try to setup a default gateway for both network cards since the box shouldn't have 2 default gateways.

Typically, you use the 2 NIC setup when you want 1 VM to participate in 1 VLAN, while another VM participates in another VLAN.
