XP MODE Is microsofts FREE Virtual PC program with SEAMLESS MODE ADDED & XP thrown IN FREE....
This enables you to install apps into the virtual pc and have the apps come up on the start menu and run in a WINDOW / DEDICATED MEMORYSPACE /XP Environment while still running Windows 7. It also works with a Vista install Too. a hotfix is applied to the virtual pc os to make it able to run in seamless mode...

I hope that microsoft releases all the hofixes for all the operating systems ie: linux / GoogleOS. Windows Server / etc....
Usefull still as you can still be programming with visual basic 6 in xp on top of windows 7... and have the data on a seperate drive, as you click on a project it automatically opens the vb6 seamlessly... All file associations TOO are connected to your virtual environments...
BUT Microsoft Virtual PC XP MODE AS GOOD as it IS... IS STILL BEHIND THE TIMES!
JUST AS THE HYPER _V. AS Sound and Graphics dont work well....
They should have at least Directly connected the sound card drivers through to the virtual machine.... they are limmting us... VIRTUAL BOX ... Is much better (Even than VMWARE) BUT. We shall waity and see...

    spdydaz,

. . .not being nasty, just a question. Why would Microsoft supply hot fixes for a OS that is not supported by Microsoft? The only reason for VB (still doesn't support drag and drop) being better than VM Ware's Workstation is the fact in is free. :)
