    Virtual PC burdersome?

Hey I just tried out Virtual PC and XP, and after I logged off/shut down I noticed there was some memory and CPU usage going on even though the process seems to be shut down.

When I shut down it said to be "hibernating", does that mean it uses Ram or CPU or anything else while it's off? I put automatic updates on and downloaded firewall and antivirus. Is it updating and remembering xpmode while I'm not using it?

(When I open taskmanager it doesnt seem show what is using the computing).

Also noteworthy is that I downloaded and installed the Xp mode first, and then went back for the virtual machine itself when I found out I needed that too, yet it seems to be working fine, alas there might be some underlying problem?

Hello Regal, and welcome to Seven Forums. :)

Double check the VM settings to make sure that the Close option is set to Shut Down. Afterwards, reopen the VM and close it to stop it from hibernating.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
