Now I can't access some subdirectories

Yesterday I installed the XP Mode under Windows 7/Pro (64-bit) on my desktop. Today I discovered that I can not access certain resources, such as the "Documents and Settings" subdirectory on my System drive. The message I get is "C:\Documents and Settings is not accessible. Access is denied."

I'm a home user, have but one userid, and that userid is an Administrator.

    Any ideas?

    Hi there,

Try this solution: Accessing Documents and Settings folder in Windows 7

Let me know if that helps at all.

    Cheers,

That helps. Now I can't access the Documents and Settings folder, even though I'm the only user, and I'm an "administrator" .... is this something I should be able to access?

I think what they're saying is that the Documents and Settings folder isn't used in Windows 7 like it was in XP. The folder structure is different now... User data is stored in C:\Users\*username* instead. Does that help?
