    Product key question

First off, is it possible to deactivate Windows 7? If not, ignore the rest of this post.

If I were to deactivate Windows 7 on one PC then uninstall, THEN install and reactivate on different PC. Would it work?
The reason I'm asking is because I'm planning on building my own gaming PC to replace my existing one and I want to install Windows 7 64-bit using the 64-bit installation CD that came with my 3 PC Windows 7 Upgrade (the Family pack one).
Problem is, Windows 7 (32-bit, not 64-bit) has already been installed on 3 different computers (my desktop, my Mum's laptop and my Sister's laptop) which means the product key has already been used up to the maximum 3 uses.

I sure hope this wasn't too garbled

You can migrate retail family pack Win7 to whichever computers you want as long as it isn't on more than 3 computers at a time.

I have not activated family pack so don't know how migration to new hardware works exactly. On single licenses, the robocall will ask you how many machines it is installed upon and if you answer "One" it will update the hardware signature to the new install. Then if the old hardware connects to the internet again using that key it will de-activate it.

If you have any questions about this and no one here knows for certain about family pack, you can always call MS CUstomer Service to inquire.
