Win7 x64 Ult

I saw the NVIDIA card mentioned in several posts on this issue also, may be a contributing factor. Doesn't seem to be isolated to the ASUS mobos as I originally suspected.

I know I didn't install it and I have no problems.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I was offered this update on my Win 2008 Server R2 version and selected it. After the install I could not boot at all. As soon as it started to load BSOD and reboot with the option of Repairing. My only way out was to restore C:\ from the previous days backup (I back the whole PC up at 4pm every day onto another 600GB drive and have backups going back at least 3 months).
This was my main server with Exchange 2010 on it so it was a bit of a wake up call.

Yay for complete backups and for Windows Backup that actually works fully.

Windows 7 Ultimate, OS X 10.7, Ubuntu 11.04

Reminds me of when everyone received the Sonic webcam updated out of no where. I was one of the few braves ones that said 'what the heck' and installed it.

Windows 7 x64

This update should be gone from Windows Update now. Looks like Intel fixed the problem. Very bad of Promise to throw this out there. Luckily it was an optional update so hopefully this only affected those people who just downloaded everything.
