Windows 7 - Resource Error and Windows Update Failure |

Resource Error and Windows Update Failure Hello There,
I just installed Windows 7 build 7100 the other day.
I am getting an error on my computer once or twice a day where the system completely slows down and then reports "Insufficient Resources to complete requested service". This message pops up when trying to do anything, task manager, documents, my computer, even shutdown. I have to hit the reset button.
Second problem - I thought downloading the most recent windows updates might solve the issue, but everytime I try to run Update, it says "Windows could not search for new updates, code 8024402F. When looking up that code it indicates that the update service may be overloaded, but I have tried at 9 different times of the day so far.......
Any solutions?
Thanks
Zach

AMD x2 5600+ (aprx 3ghz)
4gb DDR2 Ram
1gb GeForce 9600 Video Card.
Over 2tb Hard Drive Space.
The last build I was on was 7068 and I had no problems with it at all barring one cd burning issue.
7100 seems to have a few more issues which is odd, I thought as releases went on, they ironed out bugs, not make new ones. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD x2 5600+ Memory 4gb DDR2 Graphics Card GeForce 9600GT 1gb Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Hard Drives 1x1tb, 2x500gb, 2x250gb Internet Speed 10m/bit |

Thanks for filling that out, it helps. Looking at it, there's nothing obvious there (lack of ram or old CPU) that would suggest why you're having a performance issue. Obviously, ensure you have no 'flags' in your device manager and that all your current drivers are installed. Did you do an upgrade to 7100? A clean install is much more preferable and if you can, do a clean install with 7127, the latest available build. It's significantly more stable than 7068 and even 7100. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Build/Mod OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 7600 [MSDN] CPU Intel QX9650 Extreme 5.0 GHz Motherboard ASUS Rampage Extreme Rev2 Memory 8GB (4x2) Corsair Dominator DDR3 Graphics Card 2x Sapphire Radeon HD4870X2 (QuadFire) Sound Card SupremeFX X-Fi Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2408WFP 24" Panel Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Keyboard Logitech Mouse Logitech PSU Corsair HX1000 Case CoolerMaster - Cosmos S Cooling Custom Liquid - 320mm rad w/ 3x 80mm fans, CPU/NB/SB Blocks Hard Drives 4x WD Caviar Black 640GB (2TB+ Total)

It was a clean install. Is it possible to upgrade build 7100 to 7127? I dont like the idea of doing another clean install. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 CPU AMD x2 5600+ Memory 4gb DDR2 Graphics Card GeForce 9600GT 1gb Screen Resolution 1280x1024 Hard Drives 1x1tb, 2x500gb, 2x250gb Internet Speed 10m/bit |

Windows Update failed after upgrading to Windows 7 Pro Hello,
Instead of upgrading a Vista Buisness workstation to Windows 7 I decided to perform a clean install. Windows 7 installed cleanly but I found that I was unable to install any windows updates.
It turned out that the Google Desktop application was preventing the updates to download and install. I had been receiving an error message stating that "Windows Update failed" and an Error Code of 80004005.
Problem was resolved when I uninstalled Google Desktop using the Add/Remove utility in control panel.
Hope this helps!!!
