ok so has Microsoft released a service Pack or not??????? i just got off the horn with a Microsoft CS agent and according to her there has NOT been a service Pack 1 released yet, and its not due until mid 2011.......
There HAS been a service pack released, but it is not a final build yet. It is only for testing purposes.

    Hope that answers your question!

    Hi,
This is the link I used,

I fail to see a mention of Beta; have I missed something? it appeared in my email on Sep 1!!!

    Cheers
The provided link is not from an official Microsoft site. They have no obligation to mention that SP1 is still in Beta.

Glad I read through the whole thread. I was thinking I just updated and didn't see any SP1 updates.

By the time they perfect Windows 7, Windows 8 will almost be ready lol.

SP 1 will be no more than a rollup of updates and a few other minor fixes. You won't even know it's there because its not going to have any new feature's

It is not my place to say, but I feel the need to anyways.

You should try and upgrade to a retail version of Windows 7 to avoid any bugs/issues that may occur in the future.

    Hi there
depending on how you define "The Future" W8 may already be out --at least in Beta.

    That's another issue however.
