    Windows Update: Error Code 800B0100

Hello, I have been unable to download/install any updates for Windows 7 (gives Error Code 800B0100) via Windows update and had to install them through the web manually. I have installed the System Update Readiness Tool but it does not seem to solve the problem. Currently, I have KB982670, KB982664, and KB979099 waiting to be downloaded. (and to test whether the problem is solved)

Can someone kindly assist me to solve this problem?

    Thank you,

    Dave

    PackRat,

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

Please take a gander at this article by Microsoft.

    Windows Update error 800B0100

If, and only if, this is negative, then disable your firewall and AV software and try again. After updating, then turn back on your AV & firewall software.

Some third-party anti-virus/firewall software are problematic.

Most of us here use, and only use, Microsoft Security Essentials.

    1) Install System Update Readiness Tool for x86, did not solve the problem.
    2) That's unfortunate since I just installed Kaspersky Internet Suite 2010 --;. I'll consider that option in the future. I was able to install KB982670 but unconclusive since I did not attempt to install it before disabling Kaspersky. The two other updates cannot be installed even with Kaspersky disabled.
    3) Here's my ChechSUR.log

Thank for the quick response Flavius.

Followed the steps, Windows Update refuses to install updates. I installed one manually.

Here is my CheckSUR.log in case I did not follow correctly your instructions:

Is it possible to try the other method, I followed the instructions and the CheckSUR.log is still the same. Moreover, I recently installed Windows 7 over Windows Vista leaving a Windows.old and Windows.old.000 if this detail affects the instructions.

If you understand correctly you did everything exactly what I said but Readiness Tool repeatedly return the same errors -if it's true replacing corrupted files doesn't make sence any method. because corrupted components belongs to update KB983590 then please uninstall this update and reinstall it from Microsoft Download Center
