    Update Disabled URL's in Outlook

For the second time, an update disabled URL's in Outlook. I finally got around to installing the latest updates last night. When I tried to click on a URL, I received an error message saying there was an error in sending the request.

This happened once before with an update to IE. I do not know which update caused this. I restored my system using an earlier restore point and the URL's are working. Over the next few days, I will install the updates one at a time until I find the offending update.

Hi Carl, it could have been for 'junk' email. Anyway, have a look here

Outlook 2007 - URL links not working

I installed the security update for IE, KB980182. After the reboot, I went to a SevenForums email notification and clicked on the URL link. I got an error message that Outlook failed to send the message. I should have snipped that error box; but I did not. I tried several others with the same result. I closed Outlook and reopened it - same result.

I uninstalled the update, rebooted and all is working well. Has anyone else experienced this? Was there a forum server problem? This happened about 35 minutes ago.

Bill, this is a different update causing the exact same thing. I have not pinpointed the update yet. Bit I will post it when I do.

Jacee, thanks for the tip; I did install that update. I will install it again when I get home and see if that is the cause.
