I suspect that CBS.log may be too big too attache here...

First, one should go to an elevated command prompt in safe mode and delete cbs.log
2nd, run sfc /scannow
3rd, zip the file

Now that being said, Steps one and two should be performed.
Then the FindStr ommand used to pull out only the info needed.
The resulting file can quite easily be uploaded.

Now let's see if I can't find the tutorial giving the FindStr command format needed.

Ah yes, please see option 2 of this tutorial from Brink.

All you need to analyze is the report generated by following option 2 of the tutorial.

In your CBS.log there is no errors ,however partionally it could be explained that it's fresh system...You didn't run SFC tool (there is no [SR] string in your CBS),although I realize hard to expect any corrupted system file in fresh OS.

I suspect it's any problem with driver/hardware compatbility

1.Update drivers for all devices
2.Use verifier tool to diagnose issues with drivers Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

if this tool force BSOD then please find C:\Windows\Memory.dmp and C:\Windows\Minidump,pack them and attache here (or upload on rapidshare if these files are too big)

hi all trying to update my laptop. windows update keeps failing , i even try to do it manually but keeps saying "windows cannot check for update because the service isnt running you may need to restart ur computor." ive tried restarting but nothing happens. hope u can help.
