Urgent Help Need with Volume Activation tool.
In our organization we have setup a KMS server for are volume activations of our Windows 7 clients and for Office 2010, the Office 2010 is running on a mixture of Windows XP and Windows 7 Clients
Our KMS server is running on Windows 2008 server R2, along with Microsofts VAMT 2.0 Tool.
When we search my workgroup using the VAMT tool we see all the computers in our environment without any problems. The problem lies in when we say use current credentials to get the info from the clients we get an Access denied under the Action Status in the VAMT tool. When we use the use alternative credentials the same issue occurs.
All the clients list in the VAMT tool are listed as unknown. I have verified that tcp/ip over net bios is enabled on all my clients, as well as the firewall is off on the clients as well as the server for now to try and resolve this issue. The LLTD listener for XP is installed on my xp clients, that run Office 2010.
Can someone please over some guidance as I have no clue as to what the problem is, I don't know why all my clients show up as unknown in the VAMT TOOL.
