| | The task bar doesn't show up at all so I am unable to get to it when i boot normally I have already run a malwarebytes scan in safe mode and nothing turned up |

| | You could try (in safe mode) running msconfig, just type it into the start menu search. From there you can see what the startup items are. If there are any with random letter/numbers (abxdgasdf143 etc.) then they are more like to be infections. Another option is (as a very last resort) is to re-install Windows 7 from DVD, presuming you have burnt yourself a copy after D/Ling from MSDN. |

| | Well Orbital Shark is doing a fine job here but I'm a bit puzzled by what you said- that you dont have kb971033 (WAT) installed. It has been pushed through windows updates and all of us mortals got it way back in february. I suggest you install kb971033 and let it do its thing. |

TipFollow the virus removal 1st as if it's still present it will just revert your system again Also, what happens when you boot normally? Can you actually access the desktop? |
