    Updates Always Rearrange Desktop Icons

Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Happens every time new updates show up. Is there a cure?
    Thanks

Right click on the desktop and click on VIEW. You will see "Auto Arrange Icons". If this is checked, Windows will arrange the icons for you. If not checked, it allows you to arrange them. You can play with that to see what works best for you.

As usual, I misunderstood the wife about this problem. She copied and pasted her "email" favorites from the old computer, XP, to the new Win 7 Pro computer.
She pasted that to the desktop. Only 4 continue to stay on desktop after updating is finished. Have no idea where this idea came from.
Also, all of the passwords have to be redone. But again, this happens only after new updates from MS are installed.

I am not familiar with anyone that puts "email favorites" on the desktop. It might be simpler just to use the email program. If she types the first few letters of the persons name, the whole name fills in the email address. She won't have to mess with losing the password each time Windows Updates.
