Hi I'm thinking of building a new pc can I use the copy of windows 7 that I bought for my present pc?

Hello Baccini,

Is it retail or OEM.

OEM - No Chance im afraid.

Retail - Definitetly - Just make sure you uninstall windows from the old PC before installing on new PC.

how can you tell if its retail,it came in a box with 32 & 64 bit discs which i bought online when 7 was first released last october

Then it's retail. OEM's are only a single disk and no box, just a sleeve.

Agree with Ken.

My OEM came in what looks like a DVD movie case but no box.
