    I need a Windows 7 64Bit media

I just went to the school bookstore to purchase a student copy of Windows 7 pro. I got it for $25. I didn't notice until I walked out the door that it was a 32bit version. I need a 64bit version for my XPS 630i. I have discovered through research that the lisence for the 32bit version will work on the 64bit version. Considering when you purchase the operating system you are actually just paying for the license, does anyone know how I can get the media for the 64bit version Windows 7 pro without having to purchase it again? I have not activated the key on the 32bit version yet.

Hello Mythblstr1, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you have not opened the package and explain to them what happened, then you may be able to take it back to the school bookstore and trade it for the 64-bit copy.

I already asked them, they don't even stock it, I have no idea why. I am going to install it if I can't get the media for the 64bit version. This is basically a last ditch effort to see if I have any options left.

I think it is downloading right now and I didn't even realize it. I am downloading the iso file but I didn't ssee any type of a progression bar to indicate that it's downloading. I just looked at teh size of the iso and it's growing rapidly. This is where I got it at:
