    Re-activation of Windows 7 OEM.

If I changed my motherboard after I activated my Windows 7 OEM. Can I still re-activate the Windows 7 OEM or do I need to buy a new one?

    Welcome
The rules of OEM say only on one computer.
The defintion of a new computer is a new MB.
So technically, you have to buy a new OS

    However
If you activate by phone, by not putting in your number when asked and unchecking the box, activate automatically when online then explain to a rep, most likely they will let you activate.

More than likely yes you could re-activate but would have to talk to a Microsoft Rep. This is due to the MB being classed as a "new Computer" which is not allowed in the EULA.

If you explain that the replacement was due to a total component failure and you replaced with the closest available option they should allow the reactivation

Oh. Thanks for sorting these 2 things out and helping me to understand more about OEM.
