Windows 7: Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit - Error: WindowsUpdate_8024402F

Hello, Windows 7 Forums Community.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the following error code WindowsUpdate_8024402F

Ever since, the windows update agent has not worked properly. I have not been able to update my OS in some time now. I have tried disabling antivirus, firewall, etc.

My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.

Please point me in the right direction, if you could.

This will allow you to reset and re-register Windows Update.

If this will not help then please completely uninstall all 3p security software (not only disable)

Sometimes such kind of errors are caused by quite serious infections too.

A couple useful tools - please run them if really nothing help

Id used the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner then after rebooting.. bingo! it works, i can now run the Windows Update..
