    Windows 7 Is not Genuine

Hey guys, my mom has a laptop, she is not very versed in the computing world as shes over 50 and just started using one. She just told me for the last month she was getting an error about windows not being genuine, but she just x'd it out and continued on. for a whole month....

Now she got a new pop up in a net window saying the same thing but this time it installed some files blah blah (i was not there and she x'd it out...again) Now shes freaked out that she may be in trouble. What should she do?

We got her this laptop off of craigslist.

Did m$ just teller shes screwed?

    Download and run mgadiag.

Click on the Copy tab, paste the text into notepad, save as a .txt file, and upload the file here.

You have a Asus mobo (with AMI bios), an HP SLIC and a lenovo key! Thats quite a brew!

In any case, FYI, the -----PMJBM key is a blacklisted lenovo key. Its a very famous key because it got leaked before win7 RTM was released and was used by hackers. Subsequently, MS blacklisted it.

Also, the combo of bios, slic and key brand I mentioned above does not occur in the wild, in other words the bios has been hacked to illegally activate windows.

Many of your licensing files are either missing or "mismatched". This points to other types of cracks also having been used.

In short, you've been ripped off.

No, you wont find the feds knocking at your door. But if you paid for the OS, you can try contacting the seller.
