Windows Live Mail update
I very stupidly let M$ Windows update - auto and low and behold my Live Mail went from a nice straight forward app to one that looks like Barnum and Baileys circus, and I hate it. It was a nightmare to get up and running as my ISP Telstra (Australia) employs an off shore help / call centre for queries and quite frankly they don't know what one is asking about - most of the time. Consequently it took me hours of waiting for a "consultant" who had some vague idea and who then added injury to insult by telling me that Live Mail was not supported by the ISP. By this time I was really quite ready to pull the pin on them and go elsewhere when finally I found the answer though the local forum. *rant over*
I have two accounts on the machine and I switched to the other account - installed the older version in the other account - no problems whatsoever, in fact I couldn't have fallen off a log easier.
Now I want that older version back in my usual UAC but cannot find any way of doing this. Is there anyone who has had this happen and if fixed - please let me know how!! Don't want to do a restore as it means reconfiging my ISS settings etc etc. I would be ever indebted to anyone who can sshow me how.
As for the bright spark who thought this nightmare up Hmmmm better not say. Suffice that I have now set updates to ask me first!!
Sorry mods but this one has got me hopping mad.
