Windows 7 SP1 Compatibility Mode?

    Windows 7 SP1 Compatibility Mode?




    in the compadibility mode section, Windows 7 is an option?

    what the heck is going on?

    and the custom flag on winver, i modded it, so don't freak out.

    Well...................

    SP1 (may) cause issues with software.... Maybe MS is just playing it safe?

    That's..... different

    I just double checked my Compatibility mode and I don't have "Windows 7" as a option - though I don't have SP1 installed either.

    Interested to hear from other SP1 users.

    It was the same with Vista when the Vista SP1 and SP2 came out.

    Since Windows 7 is a older version of Windows than Windows 7 SP1, it will be listed in case a program is only compatible with Windows 7 and not Windows 7 SP1.

    They always give the last version for compatibility when you have the latest one, don't they? Just how's it's done I believe. Running the SP1, so naturally they would have Win 7 pre SP1 for compatibility there.

    Thanks for the clarification. BTW I never even noticed tthey did this on Vista; shows how much I used compatibility mode there :)

    that's what i was think after i posted this, about the windows 7 pre sp1.

    for a sec i was thinking it wa a wierd win8 build or something that installed on my Win7 for some reason.
