I'm not sure, but it may be that microsoft has SQL listed as an automatic and important update to everyone as well, and that the update just didn't install correctly for the desktop. But since you really don't need it, its fine to leave it be provided it doesn't come back again or remain an annoying pop up that says DOWNLOAD ME lol. Pretty soon a service pack will be released that will fix a great many things and it includes all previous updates, and it comes out before the second half of this year.
