Purging the list of updates I do not want

Hello:

Every time I update, I have to check the list of optional updates to see if something of interest has been added to the list of 39 language packs (which I do not need or want). Also, I do not want Live Essentials.

Is there any way to make this list of unwanted updates go away so that, in the future, I do not have to deal with them? (Yes, I know, download them :-)

Thanks for your input!

Hans L

Just follow the tutorial and you can hide them.
They won't show again unless you want to restore so you can install it later.
Option One to hide.

You are welcome.

I have Windows Live hid myself.

You can always restore the ones you want later with Option Two.
