Windows 7: MSE unvalidates a Validated install

Activated windows yesterday...little pop up message tells me its activated...so the key is validated
I have installed MSE...stupid me it appears as 24hrs later it bloody decides that the copy of windows is not authentic
pop windows says authenticate now online so I do...another bloody windows tells me this will take a few minutes..no surprise ..windows does everything bloody slowly very very slowly in fact

30 mins later I cancel it..how long does it take MS (and I hope you read this) you bloody morons..I have better things to do than play your stupid games

The SP1 install has apparently dissappeared (its no longer showing its lil message on the bottom of the screen)

And MSE has gone the way of uninstall land, never to be reinstalled..

No hardware has been changed on this PC except for a SSD and that is causing issues (maybe) so my copy of windows is in fact genuine MS..you geddit?

I doubt this is the end of this tho..give the idiots a week and they will prolly just do w/e they do when they think some one has a pirated copy of there shoddy software.

Activation is different from validation. Go to the website

Genuine Microsoft Software

and validate windows.

Why should I have to validate something I know is genuine just because MSE decided it was'nt...and besides it takes forever which I don't got time for..at my age time is increasingly precious

Try uninstalling MSE. Also where did you buy your copy of Windows 7?

MSE flags activation cracks. Avast doesn't.

There are other issues peculiar to a given install which can occasionally occur with either MSE or Avast so I just change to the other one in that case.

Switch to Avast 5.

If your Windows 7 is that slow, you may need to troubleshoot it and your hardware or get a better reinstall:

You could probably go back to MSE and have no further problems as these rare probs are idiosyncracies rather than bugs, and the two are of interchangeable quality so it doesn't really matter now.

Glad to hear you have a legit copy as this eliminates the possibility that MSE was flagging an activation crack.
