Apparently so.
I installed SP 1 an hour ago and that update is shown as installed, along with 11 others for Windows.
I don't know what it is. MS is not the publisher. If you right click it, you have the "uninstall" option.
Edit: I stand corrected. That update is on my system, but it is shown as being downloaded on Feb 9. So, it is one of 11 updates carried over from my non-SP1 install.
Only one of the updates listed shows today as the date of installation. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

Just got some update notices a minute ago, after having installed a new image of Windows 7 x64 integrated SP1 from Technet several days ago.
One of the updates is (KB971033) unchecked - Windows Activation Technologies update.
So I would say it's not included in the SP1 as it is. Is that the update you're referring to, or KB971003? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Airbot 2.0 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Core i7 920 (D0) @ 4Ghz, *26c idle *65c full load on air Motherboard Asus P6X58D Premium - Sata 6Gb/s - USB 3.0 Memory 12GB DDR3 Corsair Dominator -CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 at 1600MHz Graphics Card EVGA GeForce GTX 480 -Aftermaket Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler Sound Card ASUS Xonar D2X Monitor(s) Displays 1 LG 24" Flatron W2453V-PF 1 Samsung 24" P2450H both 2ms RT Screen Resolution 1920x1080@60hz Keyboard Logitech Wireless MK700 Mouse Logitech Wireless MK700 PSU Corsair HX1000W Case Cooler Master HAF 932 Cooling Case Fans *3 230mm, *1 140mm/CPU - *Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Hard Drives 1 OCZ Vertex2 180GB SSD

Good eyes, Airbot.
KB971033 is on my system after SP 1 and was installed Feb 9.
I installed SP 1 64 bit RTM today and cannot find KB971003 and can't say if it was on my system prior to SP 1. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

When I first installed SP1 RTM through windows update I hadn't installed KB971033 beforehand, and as
such I didn't have any option to remove it after installing SP1.
I reimaged the drive, installed KB971033, then SP1.
After reboot, Uninstall of KB971033 was available, and done.
According to the docs it seems SP1 includes that update, so if you want it gone (or seemingly so), I guess this is the way to do it as now that update is listed as available in WU. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Selfbuilt OS Windows 7 Professional x64 Retail CPU Intel i7 3770K Motherboard ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe Memory 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 CL9 Graphics Card XFX Radeon HD7950 DD 3GB Sound Card Integrated Monitor(s) Displays BENQ G2400WD Screen Resolution 1920x1200 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G9x PSU Corsair AX760 Case Cooler Master Storm Trooper Cooling Stock Hard Drives WDC WD10EZEX
