    SP1 fails to install


    service pack one fails to install each time i try

    saying an unknown error and giving this code 0x800F0826


    any advice ?

    How many updates do you have that come with sp1 ...?
    try to install those update first by uncheck sp1 ...
    run wds update again to see if you miss any thing ....?

    just 1 other and that's for silverlight

    have tried via windows update and manual update

    Sp1 did showed up in wds update right ...?
    Keep it there ...run update again ...to see if any more show up ....

    Maybe ..you still missing some updates prior to Sp1 ...

    yes its from windows update no other important updates and it still fails

    tried all the advice in that thread nothing worked


    i just can't get it on this system at all

    I have got it on my HTPC that has almost the same software on

    could someone have a look at this CBS

I'm simply attempting to run update on my Windows 7 machine. Update will not run, downloading and running the SP1 update fails, downloading and running the Update Readiness Tool fails, trying to launch a troubleshooter fails. I ran sfc and have attached the log along with all the error codes...
I did a repair install of W7 Ult. x64 SP1. Applied all updates, but if fails to install IE10 update : 286642 (as you see it is a dutch version). If have run sure & sfc /scannow. Both report no problems. CBS files are attached. Please help ?
my computer is a Toshiba Satellite C650-1CR with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I has a Toshiba MK3265GSXV hard drive. When I started the computer a few days ago I received an error message saying Check Cable connection. No bootable device. I checked the BIOS and the hard drive wasn't detected...
After I tried to make a dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), Windows now does not boot. I have tried to reinstall and repair the HDD but the disc fails to recognize my HDD (Western Digital Scorpio Black 500 GB). My HDD is Basic, has 3 primary partitions and 1 extended (3 logical)....
Clean installing W7 x86 is no problem. But 1) upgrading Vista x86 to W7 x86 fails and automatically rolls back to Vista, and 2) attempt to clean install W7 x64 results in BSOD when rebooting to finalize the process. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
