SP1 error's 800F081F & 800F0A13 Hi, been getting both these error's on my laptop and Pc.
I managed to install SP1 on the laptop, updated ATI drivers, used the Windows 7 update tool and after numerous attempts got it on. however on the PC it's a no go, I got rid of the 800F081f error but cant seem to get the 800F0A13 to go, the only solution i can find is to reinstall windows and i am not about to do that!!! .
Any one any bright ideas Please.

Hi, razy60.
Have you used Driver Sweeper to clean ATI - Display drivers? There is an issue with Windows 7 SP1 install resulting in the Error 800F0A13. If that is the case, please follow the instructions here: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 / Driver Sweeper. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 & Windows Vista Ultimate |

Hi, Ownedandout i used the update tool from microsoft, ran a full system scan with MSE and installed the SP1 update before any of the other updates that were available at the time.
As for the driver sweeper tool yes i have used it but only when i changed my GPU from nvidia to ATI so i dont see why there should be a problem however i am following the thread(cheers corrine).

Hi, Thanks for the reply razy60.
I've just managed to install SP1. I too have used Driver sweeper and that is what was causing the errors. On the website corrine linked us to I registered and made a few posts, my account is MaggotUK and and my posts start on page 4. If you look at the advice given to me by HarryMcddogle this is how we fixed it. Hope this helps.
Thanks again. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7: Home Premium CPU AMD Quad Core Phenom II X4 965 Motherboard AMD 770 and SB710 Chipset Motherboard Memory 2 x 2Gb PC-10666 Memory Graphics Card Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 1GB Monitor(s) Displays Dell Screen Resolution 1280 x 1024 Keyboard Dell Mouse Logitech PSU Corsair 750Watt Case ATX Black Gaming Tower Case Hard Drives Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB Internet Speed 10 Meg |

Raz Hi, Raz.
I learned from Andre.Ziegler's posts at TechNet that it apparently does not matter that the tool wasn't used to remove ATI drivers. As Andre.Ziegler said in Windows 7 SP1 fails with Code 800F0A13 - Says system components are missing (even referencing the tutorial here at Seven Forums ): When the person he was helping responded with: Quote: "This is only for ATI - Display, other drivers are not affected! If you haven't used Driver Sweeper to clean ATi - Display drivers and you are having this problem with SP1 the problem with your system is something else"
Since I don't have ATI, (I have never had ATI on this computer, only NVidia).... does that mean I should do the InPlace upgrade? Andre instructed: Quote: copy the files from the topic to the WinSxS folder. The drivers are aprt of Windows, so it doesn't matter which card you have. If the drivers are missing, Sp1 fails. Also note from that topic Froztbound's post regarding extracting drivers from the original Windows 7 DVD and using the tutorial here for how to do it. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 & Windows Vista Ultimate |
