Windows 7 - Update KB976932 and KB982526 update failure- error 800b100

Hey,

I'm trying to install update KB976932 (Windows Service pack 1 for 64bit) and KB982526 (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1) but I keep getting error 800b100 which stops me from doing so.

I've tried deactivating my firewall; manually installing from the microsoft website; and using the system readiness tool but I keep getting the same error

I've attached log files and I believe some files are corrupt. How can I replace them?
Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks.

SP1

As for corrupt files try running "sfc /scannow" at an elevated command prompt. You may have to run it two to three times.

For SP1 read this thread for ideas.

i have solved the problem,

Step 1 - open cmd run as administrator and type "net stop WuAuServ" (without the quotes) and hit enter. don't close cmd
Step 2 - Click the Start Button, in the "Start Search" box, type in "%windir%" (without the quotes) and press Enter.
Step 3 - In the opened folder, look for the folder named "SoftwareDistribution". Right-click on the folder, select Rename and type "SDold" (without the quotes) to rename this folder. ( It may take some time to rename) dont panic
Step 4 - Still in "Administrator: Command Prompt" window, type the command "net start WuAuServ" (without the quotes) in the opened window to restart the Windows Updates service.
Step 5 - Restart and check for update, win 7 sp1 will download and install automatically.
try it..............
Thanx

1.
I suggest you install update KB976932 (Windows Service pack 1 for 64bit) and KB982526 (Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1) separately.
