Windows 7: sp1 install problem

I discovered in the windows / logs / cbs.log file this problem .. ideas ?? How to fix this ??

I am guessing here only - If you've used a Disk Cleanup facility since installing SP1, the backup files needed to uninstall the service pack might have been deleted from your computer.

Can you advise what you have done since installing SP1.

SP1 never fully installed - on re-boot , I get a reverting changes message . that is about all ..

* Did you note any KB error messages?

* There is a plethora of information on SF re SP1 problems. Have you checked to see if anyone experienced a similar problem?

Some ideas below for you .

* In case some system file is damaged, you could
open an elevated Command Prompt (go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > right click on Command Prompt > Run as Administrator).

Type sfc /scannow into the Command Prompt window – note the blank in front of the slash (/). This will run for a while.


* Temporarily uninstall SP1 to troubleshoot the problem.

How to uninstall Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

When I try and uninstall SP1 - I get a error that sp1 is not installed .

sfc - no issues ..

tried installing with a full clean boot - same error ..

It appears that his problem is "SP1 FAILED TO INSTALL WITH ERROR CODE 80004005" Nothing to do with uninstall.
Same problem here. Not sure what to do.
