Windows 7 Service Pack installed OK but had a Runtime error
I have just downloaded and installed Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 from the Windows Update site. It certainly took much longer than half an hour to complete and when the download reached 93% I was presented with the following information / warning window headed .....
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library ....... and with the following text .....
Runtime Error
Program:C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IELowutil.exe
R6016
Not enough space for thread data.
To my complete relief Service Pack 1 "successfully installed", it then ran through the configuration / re-start procedure successfully too.
I checked the file IELowutil.exe and the one I have on my machine is dated 14/7/2009 and is a 113KB Application.
I have no idea what it does or what the Runtime Error means and wonder if this is something I can happily "forget" or is it something that could pose a problem and I am a bit anxious about this as I am no computer expert. So if there is a fix I hope its easy to do ...
