Failure Configuring Windows Updates
I am new to sevenforums, though I have used it in the past to help me resolve problems (Great Site!)
I have had a problem with SP1 for my Windows7 Home Premium x32 system. I tried to install through windows update, restarted computer, it configured up to 92% then failed.
I am wondering why this happens, i have tried numerous times! No Luck! I have tried the update troubleshooter, System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7, and the microsoft fix it but it still won't install. The troubleshooter gives me this message "repaired windows update components" fixed. I have installed the hotfix through readiness tool, but still nothing.
It installs but when my system restarts it fails to configure the service pack, I really don't want to re-image my machine for the 3rd time (nasty experiences with vista!) Please help. I am 17 and have a vast range of computer knowledge, but this has just killed me!
If you need the CBS log I will post it up for you!
