Windows 7 SP 1 Unable to startup

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x64 bit. I just installed SP1 upon reboot I was unable to start into windows, and was sent directly to start up repair. Start up repair failed to repair the computer automatically. I attempted a system restore. I had three restore point none of which were SP1 restore points. I attempted each restore point. Each attempt failed and removed the restore point from the list. I no longer have my install disk and have no idea how to fix my startup issue.

Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) , jlz0418's post is the only one I've seen that has a problem similar to mine that I have been able to find so far.

I apologize if I missed a thread in these forums that solves this issue I tried searching but I found nothing that seemed relevant.

Edit: Also I cannot access safe mode, it too sends me directly to startup repair

I suppose this means you don't believe the problem will be fixable anything short of a reinstall?

To upgrade, I need to apparently start windows first, then upgrade.

    I get this message:
The computer started using the Windows installation disc. Remove the installation disc and restart your computer so that Windows starts normally. Then insert the installation disc and restart the upgrade. (DO not select "Custom (advanced)" to preform and upgrade. "Custom (advanced)" installs a new copy of windows and deletes your programs and settings.

I have decided to make the jump and just reinstall my operating system. First using Jacee's suggestion to pull the important data off with lucid puppy. If you have a solution to my problem that you know works I'd still love to hear it.

Sometimes things get fouled up. If you are able to save your files and re-install Windows starting from a clean slate, then you will be much happier.

Update: Since I was running a Raid 0 Configuration I seem to have trouble getting a linux distro to read them. I tried following a guide I found for Lucid Puppy but it would appear to not have worked for me. Still looking for a way to easily recover data before reinstall.
