Windows 7: SP1 download error

SP1 download error

Whenever i try to download the service pack from windows update i get the error " TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE(0x800b0100)

I already tried downloading the system rediness
Disabling my anti-virus
And troubleshooting my windows update

I keep getting the same error message and idk what to do now

Any ideas??

I have used his tutorial in the past to solve a troublesome update. You also may want to look at the directory C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. All files in this folder are safe to delete. This is where windows updates are downloaded before installation, once installed they are no longer needed here.

The weird thing is that I already downloaded the Readiness tool, disabled my anti virus, and even troubleshooted my windows update and I still have the same issue... so now im lost.

Hello!

You said that you have downloaded the System Update Readiness Tool. Have you successfully installed it? Do so if you can, and then open up C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.persist.log, and copy and paste its contents here.

I dont know if you're aware that you sent me to a notepad text file.. but when i go there and open up the one file what should i copy for me to paste it there?

I also got an access denied message when trying to save after i pasted

Yes, the CheckSUR.persist.log is a log text file, that record the status of the "System Update Readiness" aplication.

You need to copy its content and past it here (in the forum), NO in the log file.
