This is getting out of hand. I can't update anything!! Help!

    This is getting out of hand. I can't update anything!! Help!


    I just need to get the windows update going and working here is what I get every time.

    I did, right before I posted this. I have done everything I can think of.

    can't help you with why it happening but you can goto windows web site and download (sp1) that should give you most of the updates .

    See this page, try out the steps one by one. In particular scroll down and look at the 3 advanced troubleshooting methods.

    You may encounter temporary connection-related errors when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates

    if nothing helps, run a sfc scan.

    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    or eventually, a repair install.

    Every time I go to the website it brings up the control panel and starts it over again.

    haven't done the repair disc, but the scan didn't help.
