    windows 7 activation

I had to perform a system recovery due to a virus problem. My virus program blocked a couple of viruses (some email about a package at the post office) and when i clicked to remove them my system crashed. Afterward ,when i tried to boot up it would keep crashing (blue screen). So i performed the system recovery. Everything seems fine except when i try to activate windows i get code 0xc004e003 the software licensing service reported that license evaluation failed. Now this is an acer that had windows pre-installed. This is the second time i've had to do a system recovery. The first time i got a set up with number codes and a phone number to call (microsoft) and by following instructions i was able to activate it (sorry for my explanation , i hope you can understand it). Any help or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you ran Acer Factory Recovery, then it should have self-activate. If not, call Acer to get it activated. Ask them why MS is telling you the key is blocked if it is the key on the COA sticker.

And can we assume that you used the key from the sticker on your laptop?

If not then go to acer and tell them your story.

That's about it for advice on this..
