Other Info
Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
Hate to spoil your day mate but I found a rootkit stopping it updating / downloading on a friends computer and my machine's problem was solved by down loading the Update Readiness Tool for M$ - if that's any help.
Now the Kaspersky jumps on anything sus, and the Readinesss Tool might be an idea - can't hurt eh?
The rootkit I found with the Kaspersky TDSS Killler on the friend's computer - save to download > run from there with your UAC and then delete the download when youv'e finished..
One other Desktop (tester) and spare Toshba laptop both with SSD's
Running Kaspersky 2016 ISS on all machines config'd identically
Logitec audio stereo systems on each machine (x3)
Canon MG5250MFC
Router/modem TP-Link running WPA2SK
Nice to hear - had a similar problem the other day landline phone not working email playing up - dirty / slighty corroded contacts in the wall connection point - funny how you never think of the simplest things eh?
Still - enjoy my friend!!
Mind you that Readiness Tool is handy!
