    Microsoft updates in Win 7

The complete MS Office suite was installed on a Win 7 64X PC. The complete suite was not needed and was uninstalled. Only MSPowerpoint was installed using 'Custom Installation.

When checking for Microsoft update, found updates for Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, Access and several office items no longer installed. In the XP days you could ask not be be shown updates you do not need. Is there a way to stop being offered updates for all of the office apps since they are NOT installed in Win 7?

Here you go. It is all in the tutorial step by step.
Windows Update - Hide or Restore Hidden Updates

Once you hide them you won't see them and they won't try to install unless you decide you need one or all at a later time.
