    Failure Configuring Windows 7 SP1

I've tried installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Several times so but have yet to get it to work. Each time my computer restarts and begins configuring the updates up to 10% at which point I get the message:
    Failure configuring Service pack
    reverting changes

Then once my computer restarts I get a message saying:
    Installation Failed
    Element not Found.
    Error: ERROR_NOT FOUND(
    0x80070490)

Can someone please help me find what the problem is.
