CODE 8024402F Windows Update

There is a problem when trying to update windows 7 ulimate edtion x86 with SP1,
I am getting this code error CODE 8024402F Windows Update.


I do lots of searching on internet but unable to resolve the problem.

I did run the Microsoft Safety scanner, disable Firewall, repair windows update, system restore .... etc.

but still problem persist.

Did this just start happening with this update? You can also manually download and install SP1 from the MS site instead:

You also might want to run a full system scan with something like MalwareBytes. Often time, Windows Update problems are caused by infections.
