Unable to update Windows 7 SP1

I have had problems updating to Windows 7 SP1. I have been on the phone and computer now for about 2 weeks. I have dealt with my ISP technicians and Microsoft technicians. Still no luck. I tried again today and I finally got a error code. The error code I got was 800F0A09. I also get this error with is totally different from the first. I get there was a problem with starting C:\Program file\ Microsoft fix it center\natsapi.dll.
I am not that knowledgeable enough to go into the registry files and make any changes.
So if anyone could help me I would be deeply appreciated. Thank you

Hello there, babjeck. Welcome to SevenForums!

    Ok, let's see.

    1) Please, do not mess with the registry if you don't know what you're doing or if you're not experienced enough. (a little mistake on the registry could mean serious damage on the OS)

    2) Are you trying to install it via Windows Update?

    3) Do you own a Laptop or Desktop? and please fill in your system specs so we can help you easily.

    Cheers

    Windows 7 SP1 problem

Have tried to upgrade through the startup page, the control panel and manually.
Here are the specs of my computer:

    Windows 7 home premium
    HP
AMD Athlon (tm) 64x2 dual core processor 5000 + 2.60 GHz
    300 GB hard drive
    32-Bit

I do not want to try and tackle the registry, I know the problems could be serious
