Well you can see the updates are listed just in a different window now.
The ones that you manually tried but are not applicable to your system you can hide when windows trys to tell you to download and install them.

Also it may be helpful to have Win Update let you know when updates are available but not to Auto install.
That will give you a chance to install one or two at a time and if you have a problem installing you know which one it is.
When you do several at a time if a problem occurs which one is the problem?
